In the case of Gantz's housekeeper spying for Iran , new details have emerged. Goren's lawyer argues that he acted only for economic reasons, and not out of a desire to damage state security. However, this does not justify the Shin Bet employees in such a serious miscalculation, because everything lay on the surface: fourteen criminal cases were initiated against Omri Goren for theft and robbery, he was imprisoned in Israel four times. The Shin Bet does not deny their guilt, but they still try to make excuses: "Since the miscalculation became known, we have conducted an investigation at the highest level and identified failures in the individual work of employees. We carefully study the procedures in order to improve them and prevent them from similar situations in the future. But one miscalculation cannot blame the entire organization that prevents hundreds of terrorist attacks a year and guards the country day and night."

Meanwhile, Omri Goren's lawyer, Gal Wolf, has already stated that Goren had no intention of harming state security, he acted for economic reasons: "My client did this because of his financial problems, he did not want to harm state security. In addition , he did not have access to secret documents, so he did not even imagine that he would be in such a situation.However , as it became known, the amount that Goren asked the Iranian hackers for his work is quite small.Only seven thousand dollars. 

The investigation showed that Goren independently contacted the Iranian hacker group "Black Shadow" via Telegram and offered them his help for a modest reward. Moreover, he learned about the "Black Shadow" from publications in the Israeli media, where they wrote about Iranian hacker attacks on Israeli facilities. To prove his closeness to the Israeli Defense Minister, Goren sent the Iranians photos of Gantz's belongings, his phone, computers, bills, bill, military kit with the serial number of the IDF. He also sent personal photos of Gantz and his family to the hackers.
